Calculators built to be checked.

Find the Figure is a collection of practical calculation tools designed around a simple standard: get to the answer quickly, show the assumptions that matter, and make the result easy to verify.

What Find the Figure is

We build focused calculators for everyday questions involving dates, time, percentages and other useful numerical decisions. The goal is not to surround a simple answer with unnecessary content. The calculator is the primary product; the explanation exists to make the result understandable and trustworthy.

How calculators are built

Each calculator starts with a defined search intent and calculation specification. We document the formula or date rule, identify important edge cases, build the interactive tool, and test representative inputs before publishing it.

For date tools, that includes issues such as leap years, month lengths, inclusive versus elapsed-day counting and date-only arithmetic. For numeric tools, that includes zero values, negative values, rounding, formatted inputs and values that require more precision than the default display.

Accuracy and transparency

Important formulas, assumptions and breakdowns are shown next to the result whenever they help a person verify the output. We avoid silently inventing answers for undefined cases. If a result depends on a convention—such as which days belong to a workweek—the selected convention is shown in the interface.

Rounding and display precision

Most general numeric results are displayed to two decimal places by default while preserving useful precision internally. Whole-number concepts such as a count of calendar days remain whole numbers, and very small non-zero values may display additional precision when rounding them to two decimals would be misleading.

Privacy by default

Core calculator values are generally processed in the browser rather than sent to a server just to perform arithmetic. No account is required for ordinary calculator use. See the Privacy Policy for information about hosting, analytics, cookies and advertising services.

For educators, publishers and researchers

You are welcome to cite or link to a Find the Figure calculator when it is useful to your readers. For the clearest reference, link directly to the specific calculator rather than only to the homepage. We do not require reciprocal links, paid placement or hidden attribution.

We intentionally avoid techniques that manufacture backlinks through invisible, keyword-rich or compulsory widget links. The long-term goal is to earn references because the calculators are useful enough to deserve them.
