How exact age is calculated
The calculator first counts full calendar years, then full calendar months after the last birthday, and finally the remaining days. This handles different month lengths and leap years without assuming every year has 365 days.
Why calendar age mattersSomeone can be 30 years, 2 months and 12 days old even though dividing their total days by 365 would produce a slightly different decimal age.
